• And not only are they dating, but they are moving in together, according to IMDB. This is such a great couple!!! Maybe Guinevere can get Tracy to step out a bit more. Guinevere Turner is a high priestess in the lesbian world: Creator and star of the classic film Go Fish (which inspired "Chasing Amy"), writer/director of the queer film fest hit Hung, writer and guest star on The L Word as the delicious villain Gabby Deveaux, and cast member on Itty Bitty Titty Committee.

Target apologizes for anti-gay donation
• Considering how regularly I shop at Target, I was upset to learn recently that the ubiquitous big box store had made a donation to an anti-gay political group.
I was surprised to hear this news, since Target seems so very queer. Just look at their design collaborators: Isaac Mizrahi, Zac Posen, Jean Paul Gaultier. Can't get gayer than that. Target has also consistently received high ratings by the HRC's Corporate Equality Index. So why are they giving money to the haters? Well, the good news is that Target has listened to the backlash and apologized for the contribution, saying basically that they thought they were promoting corporation-friendly activism rather than anti-gay activism. Not that I'm cheering for the rights of corporations. They have Chief Justice John Roberts to do that. But I am happy that Target has apologized. It's worth noting that Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel recently has said his support of the gay community is "unwavering." In the end, I'm happy that gays, lesbians, and nice straight folks who support gay rights demonstrated the power of the queer consumer. Capitalism at its best.
California acknowledges that we have a little something called the Constitution
• Lastly, hooray for the ruling that overturned Prop 8 in California. It's nice to have a judge who understands the Constitution: The public does not have the right to vote on other people's civil rights. Let's hope, too, that the Supreme Court upholds the Constitution when the Prop 8 case is appealed. Elena Kagan, that means you.
